Fraction Reflection

As a Learners: 

What did I learn during the two different lessons? For the first lesson I didn’t learn anything but then in the second lesson I learnt alot about dividing fractions.

What could have been better?

 In the first lesson they could have taught more and made it harder and in the second lesson it was perfect.

What were the strengths of my / our teaching?

The kahoot in the first lesson was okay and in the second lesson the math sheet test and the kahoot was perfect.

What could have been better? 

What could have been better is our kahoot and our math sheet because we didn’t really have much time to make the lesson amazing.

What did I learn from being an observer? 

I learnt how hard it is being a teacher (I also learnt that when I was being a teacher) and I learnt what It would be like if you were an actual observer.

Would you like the opportunity to teach children in another area of maths? Why or why not?

Yes, because I want to get better at my teaching skills.

   At the Aviation Museum we learnt about flight, and how planes and helicopters lift off the ground. When we arrived at the Aviation Museum we met a friendly kind man called Duane and he showed us around. There was also this plane part that they used in a movie called Shadow in the Cloud. Once Duane showed us the plane part all of us (The buffalos) split into two groups. First my group and I went with this lady and also this man called Linda and Bob. And she showed all the pictures and models of the planes. Also she showed us all the different Australian badges and all the different New Zealand badges. Once we looked at all of the models, badges and photos we swapped groups and my group and I went with Duane. First Duane showed us all of the different planes and there was also an old car that my friend Jack M used to one. After we looked at all the planes the two groups got back together and we all walked over to the Helicopter place. We then learnt about a helicopter's thrust and how they lift. WE ALSO GOT TO GO IN IT.    THE END

 Why sport is better 

Than music

Sport is better than music because music is just boring. Like all you do is just use your voice or an instrument and play (and sing) boring songs (sounds) all day. Whereas sport it’s more fun because you run all day and get fitter and fitter each day. 

With music you will learn how to play (and sing) music well but in sport you learn how to run faster, get stronger and play multiples of other sports you either have played or haven't played before. 

In sport and music you both can get rich and famous with each one. But in sport you get about $1000 every game and if you get a hat trick or player of the day probably $10,000. And in music you get about $1000 a song or 5000 if it is really really good

So there is my reason why I think sport is better than music. P.s.s. And let me be honest with you, music is blurgh so be on my side and Lets Play Some Sport.

   Football Rules, Regulations and Positions

Introduction

Football is a really fun sport. I mean it. In football there are two teams, with eleven players on each side. There are 4 defenders, 3 midfielders, 2 wingers, 1 striker and 1 goalie. There are also some strict rules in football like no handballing or offside but we will get to that later.        

       

Positions

The goalkeeper's job is to save all the shots that are coming right to the goalie. The defender's job is to stop attacks and shots from outside the box. The midfielders job is to defend from the other midfielder’s and also the mid’s job is to play defence, mid, and even sometimes attack or wing. The wingers job is to use   great pace or dribbling ability so as to provide cut-backs or crosses from which strikers can score. The striker's job is to be positioned to the nearest opposing team's goal. The primary responsibility of striker’s is to score goals and to create scoring chances for other players. Striker’s may also contribute defensively by harrying opposition defenders and goalkeepers whilst not in possession. 

Rules and Regulations                             

Like I said earlier, football also has some strict rules like no handballing or offside because, if you handball it, you will 1 get sent off and lose more and more players and 2 it could turn into a really rough fight with the players and also the crowd. The reason why offside is a rule is because even though to close isn’t a rule in football it still isn’t fair for the keeper when a hard shooter is coming right up to score. So that's why if the striker or any other player from the opposing team is behind the 4 defenders then it's an offside free kick from the other team. 

Also in football there are 3 cards that the referee holds throughout the game. The colors of the cards are red, yellow and a new card that is a green color. The red card's job is to send people off for the entire game if they do a super bad foul. The yellow card’s job is a warning to warn the player if they commit a small foul. The green card’s job is to send the player off for 10 minutes if the player does a medium foul. Now we will talk about penalties and free kicks. First we will talk about penalties. Penalties are taken in about the middle of the box, and the box is a pretty big box. For a penalty to take place a player has to foul another player from the opposing team inside the box. Then one of the players from the team shoots with the ball on the small circle in the middle of the box. When the player is about to shoot,all the other players move out of the way so it is just the shooter vs the keeper. Now we will talk about freekicks, for a freekick to occur is the exact same as a penalty; the player has to foul the other player from the opposing team but outside of the box. Then one of the players from the team shoots with the ball on another small circle that the referee drew outside of the box. When the player is about to shoot some people either get out of the way or move aside a bit and then some other players stand on a line about 3-4 metres out in front of the shooter and that is called a wall. Then the player does a big kick and usually sometimes curves it because the shooter is about 10-12 meters out from the goal. Once the player has kicked it the people who'd moved aside would come into the box and the people who are in the wall would jump and try to head the ball out of the goal's path for going in. Finally we will talk about corners and throw-ins. First we will talk about corners, for a corner to occur the opposing team has to kick it behind their goalies goal and then one of the other players from the other team kicks it from the corner line. Then the player either passes it or boots it to the player or the goal. Now we will talk about throw ins. For a throw to occur one of the players has to kick it out on one of the lines that are parallel on each side on the pitch. Then one of the players from the other team throws to another player on their team. Finally we will talk about goal kicks. For a goal kick to occur one of the players from the opposing team has to kick it behind the goalies goal.Then the goalie will put the ball on the dot that the players kick the penalties on. Then the goalie will either boot the ball or pass it to one of their players.
